Great opportunity: foundry worker (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in East Sussex, England. Your main tasks: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Full-time with occasional weekends.
