Immediate opening: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Lincoln County, Nebraska. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. You will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor 2+ years on the tools preferred.
