Now hiring: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Marion County, Arkansas. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. The role involves: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
