Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Okeechobee County, Florida. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Day to day you will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
