Tower crane operator wanted in Lowndes County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tower crane operator in Lowndes County, Mississippi. You will be based at a shipbuilding yard. Requirements: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts The role involves: • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
