Press setter operator — Pulaski County

Now hiring: we are hiring a press setter operator in Pulaski County, Virginia. You will be based at a white goods manufacturing plant. Day-to-day duties: • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways You should have: • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
