Rigger — Letcher County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a rigger in Letcher County, Kentucky. You will be based in a steel fabrication yard. The role involves tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. You should have: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
