Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. You will be based at a residential building site. You should have: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Day-to-day duties: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings Rotating shifts.
