Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick mason in Dawson County, Nebraska. The role involves: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently 3+ years on the tools preferred.
