Urgent requirement: foundry worker (Bayelsa State)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Ogbia, Bayelsa State. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills Your main tasks: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
