Powder coating technician — Glasgow City

Vacancy available: we are hiring a powder coating technician in Glasgow City, Scotland. The job is in a busy paint shop. The role involves: • Apply an even powder coat with the electrostatic spray gun • Inspect the finish for runs, orange peel and bare patches • Reclaim and sieve overspray powder for reuse • Stack and pack finished parts without scratching the coat • Check dry film thickness with a DFT gauge in microns You should have: • 1-2 years experience in powder coating or spray painting • Knowledge of pre-treatment and phosphating process • Can read film thickness gauges and colour codes Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. £110 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
