Steam press operator — Curry County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steam press operator in Curry County, New Mexico. You will work in a garment export house. On a typical shift you will meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. Requirements: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours.
