Steel fixing chargehand — Bernalillo County

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Day-to-day duties: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Full-time, day shift.
