Immediate opening: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Scott County, Illinois. You will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard We offer $4,000 per month plus benefits.
