Digger driver — Leon County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a digger driver in Leon County, Texas. The job is in an open-cast quarry. Day-to-day duties: • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains Ideal candidate: • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $170 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
