Semi-automatic welder • Maverick County, Texas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Maverick County, Texas. You will be based at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls What we are looking for: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $200 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
