What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites The role involves lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder.
