Foundry operative wanted in Lee County

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Lee County, Illinois. You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection You will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects.
