Shakeout operator wanted in Lewis County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Lewis County, West Virginia. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. The role involves pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling We offer $2,500 per month plus benefits.
