We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Medina County, Texas. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot The role involves TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel.
