Requirements: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg On a typical shift you will run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed.
