Excavator operator wanted in Fayette County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an excavator operator in Fayette County, Iowa. The job is at a plant hire yard. On a typical shift you will check for underground cables and services before digging; carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook; grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles. Requirements: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Valid heavy equipment / plant operator licence • Able to read levels, pegs and basic site drawings Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
