Gantry crane operator — Escambia County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Escambia County, Florida. The job is in a steel fabrication workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Current medical and eyesight certificate Rotating shifts.
