Foundry worker wanted in Carroll County

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Carroll County, Maryland. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Your main tasks: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Meals and transport allowance provided.
