Gang bricklayer — Ikono

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Ikono, Akwa Ibom State. The job is on a commercial construction site. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) The role involves: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
