Offshore rigger — Jos North

Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Jos North, Plateau State. You will be based on a high-rise building site. The role involves carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Rotating shifts.
