Bricklayer — Lawrence County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bricklayer in Lawrence County, Illinois. You will be based on a commercial construction site. On the job you will handle: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one Six days a week, one day off.
