Immediate opening: we are hiring a waiter in Randolph County, Illinois. You will be based in a café. Requirements: • Basic numeracy for handling cash, bills and change • Prior experience as a waiter in a restaurant or hotel • Familiarity with POS billing and order-taking systems Your main tasks: • Explain the day's specials and recommend dishes • Clear and reset tables between covers • Take food and drink orders on the POS terminal or order pad • Raise the bill on the POS and settle cash and card payments • Pour water, wine and soft drinks and serve from the guest's left • Punch orders through to the kitchen as a KOT (kitchen order ticket) 4+ years on the tools preferred.
