Lathe programmer-operator wanted in South Gloucestershire

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in South Gloucestershire, England. You will work in a job-work machining unit. On a typical shift you will load and index turning tools in the turret; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers. What we are looking for: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. £2,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
