Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Genesee County, Michigan. You will be based at a residential building site. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently On a typical shift you will installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel.
