Shakeout operator wanted in Deschutes County

Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Deschutes County, Oregon. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Pay around $5,400 per month, based on your experience.
