Join our team: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Jefferson County, Alabama. Requirements: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line On a typical shift you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
