Finish carpenter — Bristol Bay Borough

Great opportunity: we are hiring a finish carpenter in Bristol Bay Borough, Alaska. You will be based at a shopfitting company. On a typical shift you will measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails; plane and sand timber to a smooth, square finish; assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops. You should have: • Physically fit to lift, kneel and work at height • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers Full-time with occasional weekends.
