We are recruiting: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Bolivar County, Mississippi. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day to day you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
