Now hiring: we are hiring a dozer operator in Fremont County, Iowa. The job is at a civil contractor's yard. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) The role involves operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site; strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid; form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes.
