Sand plant operator — Webster County

Now hiring: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Webster County, West Virginia. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Your main tasks: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 2+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
