Flatlock machine operator — City of Williamsburg

Vacancy available: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in City of Williamsburg, Virginia. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. You will meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory 3+ years on the tools preferred. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
