Bar bender and fixer — Linn County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Linn County, Missouri. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. On the job you will handle: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings What we are looking for: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
