Vacancy available: we are hiring a pressman in Lee County, Texas. You will work in a tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases On a typical shift you will use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; give each garment a final press before packing; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board.
