Immediate opening: we are hiring a halal butcher in Jackson County, Arkansas. You will be based at a wholesale meat market. You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • 2+ years experience working as a butcher Your main tasks: • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
