Vacancy available: foundry worker (Nebraska)

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry worker in Phelps County, Nebraska. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal 4+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
