Join our team: we are hiring a crane rigger in Kings County, New York. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Day to day you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
