Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Guthrie County, Iowa. On a typical shift you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Full-time, day shift.
