Furnace operator — Buena Vista County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Buena Vista County, Iowa. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. Day to day you will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Rotating shifts. We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits.
