Now hiring: we are hiring a sausage maker in Contra Costa County, California. The job is at a busy retail butcher's shop. On the job you will handle: • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone What we are looking for: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate 5+ years on the tools preferred. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
