Head baker — Bergen County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a head baker in Bergen County, New Jersey. You will be based at a neighbourhood confectionery. Requirements: • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to work early-morning and night shifts Day to day you will check finished products for colour, crumb and weight; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
