The role involves: • Strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse • Clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin • Operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear You should have: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence 3+ years on the tools preferred.
