Immediate opening: we are hiring a hand presser in Essex County, Vermont. The job is in a busy laundry. On the job you will handle: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments Ideal candidate: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
