Foundry operative — Pipestone County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry operative in Pipestone County, Minnesota. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale.
