Overlocker operator wanted in Okeechobee County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Okeechobee County, Florida. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. Day to day you will change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Overtime paid at a premium rate.
